One time authorization for import of Part D of Schedule
Introduction
Every business entity that wishes to import hazardous and other wastes listed in Part D of Schedule III of the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 must first obtain approval from the State Pollution Control Board (SPCB)/Pollution Control Committee (PCC).
The following is an important factor to remember before importing.
- In compliance with the provision of the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change will be the nodal ministry for dealing with the transboundary movement of hazardous and other wastes.
- Other wastes from any country are only allowed to be imported for recycling, recovery, reuse, and utilisation, including co-processing.
- Trader can only import waste mentioned in Part D of Schedule III of HWM Rules 2016,on behalf of actual user

- Basel No-B1010- Iron and steel scrap, Nickel scrap, Aluminium scrap, Zinc scrap,- Tin scrap – Tungsten scrap , – Molybdenum scrap , – Tantalum scrap , – Cobalt scrap , – Bismuth scrap , – Titanium scrap , – Zirconium scrap , – Manganese scrap , – Germanium scrap , – Vanadium scrap , – Hafnium scrap , – Indium scrap , – Niobium scrap , – Rhenium scrap , – Gallium scrap , – Magnesium scrap , – Copper scrap , – Chromium scrap
- Basel No- B1050- Heavy fraction scrap,mixed nonferrous metals including metals other than those listed in Part B1050 and not including elements listed in Schedule II in concentrations sufficient to display Part C characteristics.
